Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

The ethical policy of IJSRNSC is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and complies with International Committee of IJSRNSC Editorial Board codes of conduct. Readers, authors, reviewers and editors should follow these ethical policies once working with IJSRNSC. The ethical policy of IJSRNSC is liable to determine which of the typical research papers or manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published in the concerned issue. For information on this matter in publishing and ethical guidelines please visit  http://publicationethics.org (https://publicationethics.org/core-practices and https://publicationethics.org/guidance/Guidelines)

Editors' Responsibilities
  • Accountability- The editor of a peer-reviewed journal is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published, and, moreover, is accountable for everything published in the journal. In making these decisions, the editor may be guided by the policies of the journal’s editorial board as well as by legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers when making publication decisions. The editor should maintain the integrity of the academic record, preclude business needs from compromising intellectual and ethical standards, and always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
  • Fairness- The editor should evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the author(s). The decision will be based on the paper's importance, originality and clarity, and the study's validity and its relevance to the journal's scope. Current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism should also be considered. The editor will not disclose any information about a manuscript under consideration to anyone other than the author(s), reviewers and potential reviewers, and in some instances the editorial board members, as appropriate.
  • Confidentiality- The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
  • Disclosure and conflicts of interest- Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted paper will not be used by the editor or the members of the editorial board for their own research purposes without the author's explicit written consent.
  • Involvement and cooperation in investigations- Editors should guard the integrity of the published record by issuing corrections and retractions when needed and pursuing suspected or alleged research and publication misconduct. Editors should pursue reviewer and editorial misconduct. An editor should take reasonably responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper.
Reviewers' Responsibilities
  • Contribution to editorial decisions- The peer-reviewing process assists the editor and the editorial board in making editorial decisions and may also serve the author in improving the paper.
  • Promptness- Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
  • Confidentiality- Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be disclosed to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
  • Standards of objectivity-Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  • Acknowledgement of sources- Reviewers should identify cases in which relevant published work referred to in the paper has not been cited in the reference section. They should point out whether observations or arguments derived from other publications are accompanied by the respective source. Reviewers will notify the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
  • Disclosure and conflict of interest- Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the papers.
Authors' Duties
  • Reporting standards- Authors of original research reports should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
  • Data access and retention - Authors could be asked to provide the raw data of their study together with the paper for editorial review and should be prepared to make the data publicly available if practicable. In any event, authors should ensure accessibility of such data to other competent professionals for at least ten years after publication (preferably via an institutional or subject-based data repository or other data center), provided that the confidentiality of the participants can be protected and legal rights concerning proprietary data do not preclude their release.
  • Originality, plagiarism and acknowledgement of sources - Authors will submit only entirely original works, and will appropriately cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work should also be cited.
  • Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication - In general, papers describing essentially the same research should not be published in more than one journal. Submitting the same paper to more than one journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Manuscripts which have been published as copyrighted material elsewhere cannot be submitted. In addition, manuscripts under review by the journal should not be resubmitted to copyrighted publications. However, by submitting a manuscript, the author(s) retain the rights to the published material. In case of publication they permit the use of their work under a CC-BY license [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/], which allows others to copy, distribute and transmit the work as well as to adapt the work and to make commercial use of it.
  • Authorship of the paper - Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author ensures that all contributing co-authors and no uninvolved persons are included in the author list. The corresponding author will also verify that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
  • Disclosure and conflicts of interest- All authors should include a statement disclosing any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
  • Fundamental errors in published works - When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and to cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper in form of an erratum.
Principles of Transparency
  • Peer review process: This journal follows a double-blind peer review process, and all papers are first reviewed at editorial board level and assessed on the basis of their methodological suitability of the paper for the journal, layout, scope of the journal, plagiarism and other ethical compliances. If selected by the editorial board, the paper shall be subjected to a fair and double-blind peer review process by at least two subject area experts, who judge the paper on its relevance, originality, clarity of presentation, completeness, significance and research contribution. Decisions will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers' comments to authors after 5 weeks because the review process may take 4 to 15 weeks, depending on the number of cycles of review required, before the paper is finally accepted. The complete review process is available step by step on the link given below: https://ijsrnsc.org/review_proc.php)

Violation of Publication Ethics
  • Plagiarism: PLAGIARISM is a violation or infringement of the intellectual property rights (IPR) of the original author in the form of authorship rights, sometimes also known as the paternity right. Plagiarism certainly points towards a lack of originality and novelty in any writing, whether scientific or otherwise. Plagiarism in scientific research papers is a serious matter because it creates doubts about the quality of research in terms of novelty. Plagiarism is not acceptable in IJSRNSC. Plagiarised content will not be considered for publication. If plagiarism is identified, we will follow the standard procedure for taking action against authors. All manuscripts under review or published with IJSRBS are subject to screening using plagiarism-prevention software. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through a trustworthy software named Turnitin Software to be assured of originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by the reviewers. For more details Plagiarism Policy
  • Data Fabrication and Falsification: Data fabrication and falsification means the researcher did not really carry out the study, but made up data or results and had recorded or reported the fabricated information. Data falsification means the researcher did the experiment, but manipulated, changed, or omitted data or results from the research findings.
  • Simultaneous Submission: Simultaneous submission occurs when a manuscript (or substantial sections from a manuscript) is submitted to a journal when it is already under consideration by another journal.
  • Duplicate Publication: In the event that the authors' previously published figures and/or data are included in a submitted manuscript, it is incumbent upon the corresponding author to (i) identify the duplicated material and acknowledge the source on the submission form, (ii) obtain permission from the original publisher (i.e., copyright owner), (iii) acknowledge the duplication in the figure legend, and (iv) cite the original article. For more details click here
  • Redundant Publications: Redundant publications involve the inappropriate division of study outcomes into several manuscripts, most often consequent to the desire to plump academic vitae.
  • Improper Author Contribution or Attribution: All listed authors must have made a significant scientific contribution to the research in the manuscript and approved all its claims. Don’t forget to list everyone who made a significant scientific contribution, including students and laboratory technicians.
  • Citation Manipulation: Citation Manipulation is including excessive citations, in the submitted manuscript, that do not contribute to the scholarly content of the article and have been included solely for the purpose of increasing citations to a given author’s work, or to manuscripts published in a particular journal. This leads to misrepresenting the importance of the specific work and journal in which it appears and is thus a form of scientific misconduct.
  • Sanctions: In the event that there are documented violations of any of the above mentioned policies in any journal, regardless of whether or not the violations occurred in a journal, the following sanctions will be applied: (i) Immediate rejection of the infringing manuscript, (ii)Immediate rejection of every other manuscript submitted to any journal published by any of the authors of the infringing manuscript, (iii) Prohibition will be imposed for a minimum of 36 months against all of the authors for any new submissions to any journal, either individually or in combination with other authors of the infringing manuscript, and (iv) Prohibition against all of the authors from serving on the Editorial Board of any journal.
